Madeline Alemi (they/she) is a New York City-based actor, singer, director, and producer.
Madeline yields from a long lineage of dancers, actors, painters, musicians, writers and multi-hyphenate artists, which has deeply informed their expansive and community-centered approach to making art. They are passionate about exploring how collective creation can strengthen communities while dissecting and weaving together performance mediums in their work.
Across mediums, Madeline is a driving force for powerful storytelling, playful experimentation, and the challenging of expectations. In 2023, they founded Evolve Student Theatre, a student-run production company focused on interdisciplinary performance art and the development of new student work, which came with valuable lessons on how to execute their creative visions with operational precision.
Madeline is a 2022 YoungArts Winner in Musical Theatre and was a semifinalist in the U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts program. Their training includes intensives with Shakespeare and Company, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and CONCRETE Immersive. Currently, they are a producing company member with Lucien Theatre Company, a New York City based devising ensemble with a concentration in classical text. They earning their BFA in Acting from Montclair State University.
In their free time, Madeline loves finding new vinyls, doing cartwheels, and cooking for their friends.
